Press Release - Midland BT2 Wireless Multimedia System with Bluetooth Technology

The compact and streamlined BT2 is designed to attach to a helmet for communication on motorcycles, ATV’s, snowmobiles and other recreational vehicles allowing riders to communicate bike-to-bike, rider-to-rider and bike-to-group. The waterproof and anti-shock durability of the BT2 ensures reliability and clear communication during long rides, no matter the conditions.  In addition, the BT2, unlike other intercom systems, functions independently without the need of any other device to provide the user a true hands-free experience. The feature-packed BT2 works with other Bluetooth-capable electronic devices, such as MP3 Players, Cell Phones, GPS and 2-way GMRS Radios.

With its operational simplicity and high performance, the BT2 blends convenience with luxury.  The BT2 audio system includes two sets of stereo speakers (for the helmets) and each can be connected to either a rigid boom microphone or to a flexible wire microphone. When used in combination with a mobile phone having a MP3 player feature, the FORWARD/REPLAY and PLAY/STOP controls can be directly managed from the device. Controls, thanks to the large buttons, can easily be identified by touch without loosing sight of the road, thus enabling drivers to easily and safely maneuver, plus the BT2 has an AGC function that automatically controls the volume in relation to background noise.  The BT2 is also fitted with a plug that enables the units to be wired to a MP3 player, cell phone or two-way radio for Bike-to-Bike communications up to 5 miles.
