Midland Radio Corporation (MRC) is the U.S. affiliate of an international group of companies with offices in North America, Europe and Asia.
Since the late 1950’s, Midland has been a market leader in two-way radio products with world-wide distribution, making perhaps its most visible market presence as the undisputed leading brand name during the CB boom in the 1970’s. Midland is the oldest manufacturer of CB radios in the U.S., the first to introduce a 14-channel FRS radio to the market, and one of the leading suppliers of consumer grade all-hazards/weather alert radios in the U.S.

Primary Business Industries
MRC has two distinct lines of business, consumer products and land mobile radio (LMR), also known as professional or commercial radio.
Our consumer products include citizen band (CB), consumer grade 2-way radios (primarily FRS and GMRS frequencies), all-hazards/weather alert radios, and a wide range of antennas and accessories. Our market share puts Midland at or near the top in all three categories.
Our consumer products customers include major national and regional retailers of electronics, sporting goods, and general merchandise. Our products also appear extensively in catalogs and on popular internet sites and are sold, through distribution, at truck stops and many small retail operations.
Our LMR products include a wide range of analog and digital professional radio products, including:
- P-25 Compliant Mobiles, Portables and Base Station/Repeaters
- VHF and UHF portable (hand-held) radios
- High performance, frequency synthesized low band, VHF and UHF mobile radios
- Vehicular repeaters
- State-of-the-art base station / repeater units
- Wireless link data modules for remote monitoring applications
Midland’s complete line of “P-25” products utilize the digital protocol that enables critical interoperability of communications networks, and, as all Midland LMR products, are primarily designed for use by government agencies and other strategic commercial users.
Management
Senior management personnel of the Company are all seasoned professionals with appropriate background and experience. Technical and engineering personnel are talented, well qualified professionals led by an experienced engineering director in the U.S. with significant technical support available from our European engineering staff.
MRC is headquartered in a state-of-the-art distribution facility in Kansas City MO, housing our entire U.S. operations.
